Development of the Northern Province

:: Project Aim

The project's aim is to develop the infrastructure and enhance sustainable livelihood to empower the people in the northern province of Sri Lanka.

:: Expected Outcomes

Develop infrastructure required for villagers to resume farming
- Restore the main water tanks that serve the village
- Restore existing and build new wells dedicated for agriculture
- Provide seeds, fertilizer and equipment
- Create a support structure for advise required

Improve the general standard of living
- Provide basic facilities for existing homes such as sanitation
- build new homes for those in temporary accommodation
- Create easy access to drinking water
- Supply bicycles for ease of transportation
- Scholarship scheme for students in secondary education
- Develop local primary school - 1st August 2009-10
